About Clive Christian
The brand’s predecessor, the Crown Perfumery Company established in London in 1872, is the only house ever to have been granted permission to use Queen Victoria’s crown on its bottles. An image that defines every bottle of Clive Christian perfume to this day.
In 1999, Clive Christian OBE acquired the brand, and made it their mission to honor tradition, delve into their archives, and relaunch their classic scents with a modern twist. Their opulent tribute to perfumery shines through with every new scent they create.
The extraction of their fragrance oil is carefully harvested from pure, raw ingredients and is a delicate process. Skilled perfumers collect the most fragrant oils from a variety of exquisite plants, such as rose, cardamom and papyrus to produce a high concentration of 20-25% of pure perfume, which guarantees the longevity of the scent for over 8 hours.

As a female traveler, I am proud to own this iconic scent. I cannot think of a more perfect way to help express my love for the ocean with this special feminine scent. In 1999 The Crown Perfumery was resurrected as Clive Christian Perfume. Now in 2019 they celebrate 20 years of haute perfumery, bringing back to life perfumes that wear a crown since 1872. The Limited-Edition perfume bottle is adorned with a platinum colored cage and crowned with a platinum colored cap, the precious metal of a 20th anniversary. The cage is a modern interpretation of the decorative cages found on the Crown Perfumery bottles in 1872.
