It’s officially summer in California and I can’t wait to spend my days around SoCal, wearing my go-to summer look: a breezy skirt with a cute crop top to match. Below I’m curating my ultimate summer outfit and sharing my favorite skirts and tops.
If you have been following me for a while, you know that I love crop tops. They’re perfect for my petite figure – I’m only 5ft 1”. Crop tops and high waisted bottoms are a match made in heaven for petite women. They accentuate the waist and make legs look way longer than they actually are, creating an extremely flattering silhouette.
In the summer, I love styling crop tops with skirts to beat the heat. Crop tops look great with pretty much any skirt, but my favorite styles are layered midis, ruffled midis and minis, box pleated, and gypsy skirts. These styles are the most comfortable because they allow the largest amount of movement. I can go about my day without ever having to feel restricted. When I wear them with a crop top, the overall vibe is romantic, feminine, and bohemian. All words that match my carefree summer mood.

My all time favorite skirt is my Dolce & Gabanna floral midi skirt. It’s a style that I wear on repeat throughout the season for its versatility. I can pair it with all sorts of crop tops: offshoulder, halter, peasant, or just a simple tank or tee style. The possibilities are endless, which is why I can’t get enough of this combo for summer.
